At SMKA Grassroots Sports Initiative (SGSI), we believe that every child and young person deserves the opportunity to discover their potential and build a brighter future.

Across Uganda, thousands of vulnerable children and youth face barriers such as poverty, unemployment, exclusion, displacement, limited educational opportunities, and lack of access to organized sports. Through the power of sports, SGSI is creating pathways that nurture talent, promote inclusion, strengthen communities, and empower the next generation of leaders.

Our work extends beyond the playing field. We are using sports as a tool for education, child protection, leadership development, peace-building, gender equality, and economic empowerment.
